Jewellery FAQs

Do you make the jewellery yourself?

Yes! All my jewellery is designed and made by me in my Glasgow studio.

What is the jewellery made from?

Most of my jewellery is made from fast growing and responsibly sourced maple veneered wood.

Earring posts and butterflies are made from hypoallergenic stainless steel.

Hoops and chains are either hypoallergenic stainless steel or gold-plated metal.

I try to include the materials used in the product description of each individual piece but if you are in any doubt then please drop me an email at info@ishbelwatson.co.uk

Can I change the chain length on a necklace?

Yes. That’s no problem at all.

All my necklaces are 18inches as standard (which sits mid chest) but if you would prefer a longer or shorter chain please pop a note in the ‘notes to seller’ box on the checkout page.

Can I swap the chain or earring hoop in a different colour?

Yes absolutely.

Some of my designs I use stainless steel hoops or chains and some I use
gold plated. If you would like to swap to the opposite then please let me know in the ‘notes to seller’ box at checkout.

Help! I lost an earring.

So frustrating when that happens!! But not to worry – I offer a single replacement earring service.

In most cases I can make you a new one (there might be certain older
designs that I’m not able to but if I can then I will)

Drop me an email at info@ishbelwatson.co.uk

Where can I see your work in person?

I’m proud to be stocked in 40 independent shops throughout the UK. Find your closest stockist here

Please note not all stockists have my full range of pieces so if you are looking for a specific piece it’s best to give them a call first to check if they have it in.

How do I look after my jewellery?

When looked after carefully your jewellery will last for years to come.

Always remove your jewellery when you sleep, shower, swim or exercise.

Avoid direct contact with creams, perfumes and other beauty products.

I recommend storing and transporting your jewellery in a pouch or the box provided to avoid tangled chains or pieces knocking against each other.

Will the metal tarnish?

Stainless steel chains and hoops won’t tarnish.

With the gold-plated chains and hoops, the plating will eventually wear off to reveal a silver-coloured tone.
